How did you find the right broker?
Hello Community! I have completed my state/national exams and units and have begun doing some research on finding the right broker to hang my license. All of the companies have great welcome videos and promise innovation/tech, leads, and training/support to new agents. My plan is to connect with my top choices and interview to see if I can find/feel the right fit. Can anyone share your experience with your journey in finding the right firm at the beginning of your real estate career? Any other steps you took or wish you took at this stage? Any insight / advice is welcome!

Finding the right brokerage for you really depends on what you are looking for. Here is a PDF with some things to consider.
@Tammi Pierce do you have any additional tips for Chris?

Love this question! This stage is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make early on. 🏡✨
Most brokerages market the same promises (innovation, tech, training, leads), but the best fit usually comes down to:🔑 What matters most in the beginning:
✅ Onboarding & training that’s consistent (weekly, structured, trackable)
✅ Mentorship + contract support (especially your first 3–5 transactions)
✅ Access to real productivity coaching (not just “watch videos”)
✅ A culture where people share and collaborate
✅ Clear fees/commission structure (no surprises)⭐ Questions to ask in your broker interviews:
- What does the first 30/60/90 days look like here?
- Do you offer mentorship, and how is it structured?
- Who reviews my contracts/offers before I send them?
- What tools do you provide (CRM, tech stack) and is there a cost?
- Are leads provided? If yes—how many and what type?
- What’s expected of me weekly (calls, open houses, lead gen)?
- What would make someone unsuccessful here?
🎯 My best advice:
Pick the company that will help you build skill + confidence, because once you have that, the leads will come. You’re asking the exact right questions keep going!
