Hi ! 😊@shellfa43

First off, congratulations on starting your journey with Kaplan to become a real estate agent! That’s an exciting step, and I promise there’s a lot to look forward to in this career. 🎉

Regarding what the active agent told you, let me share a few perspectives:

1. Rules and Regulations: Yes, the real estate industry evolves over time. Rules and regulations often shift to ensure transparency, fairness, and consumer protection. While these changes may require agents to stay updated and adapt, they aren’t necessarily a barrier to success. In fact, understanding and mastering these rules can set you apart as a knowledgeable and trustworthy professional.
2. The Market Environment: The market fluctuates—it’s part of the industry. Some periods are more challenging than others, but those challenges often present opportunities for agents who are proactive, creative, and committed to their clients’ success.
3. The Earning Potential: The real estate industry has always been what you make of it. Building a successful career requires dedication, networking, and constant learning, but it’s very possible to thrive even in shifting environments. Clients will always need skilled, compassionate agents who can guide them through buying, selling, or investing.
4. Mindset is Key: It’s easy to feel discouraged when you hear negative opinions, but remember that each agent’s experience is unique. Focus on what you can control—your education, your work ethic, and the value you provide to your clients. Many agents are thriving because they’re adaptable and focus on meeting their clients’ needs in innovative ways.

If you’re passionate about helping people achieve their real estate dreams, this career can be incredibly rewarding. Surround yourself with positive mentors, leverage resources like Kaplan to build a strong foundation, and don’t let someone else’s perspective discourage you from chasing your goals.

Wishing you the best of luck in your studies and beyond! Feel free to reach out if you ever have more questions. 💪 Jeni VO
