Meet Jose Santiago Cortes, Senior Securities Instructor, Community Moderator
Hello! My name is Jose Santiago Cortes IV, and I am a Senior Instructor with Kaplan.
I earned a BBA in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Notre Dame in 1997 and hold Series 7 and Series 63 registrations. With more than 30 years of experience in U.S. and international banking, finance, investments, and securities education, I have dedicated the past 12+ years to securities industry training, teaching exam preparation courses for the SIE, Series 6, Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, and Series 66.
I joined Kaplan in 2020 and am passionate about helping students build the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in the financial services industry. In addition to English, I am fluent in Spanish and Business Portuguese.
Outside of work, I am the proud father of two sons who are graduating from Texas A&M University this year.
