Resources question?
Vested
🗣️I was in a class and the instructor stated we cannot just go off of what Kaplan is teaching us in the class, videos ,curriculum, practice exams to pass our exams. I would like to know what other legitimate resource I can use to pass Texas and national exam then?

Hi Amy, I am the lead instructor/supervisor in Texas, and I am happy to assist you. To pass the qualifying exams you cannot rely solely on the end of chapter quiz for each unit and the key points at the end of the course as some students do. It is imperative that you review all of the information in the material for each of the six qualifying classes. For the licensing exam, I provide the Texas students with the PearsonVue outline. PearsonVue is the third-party testing company who administers the licensing exam for the Texas Real Estate Commission. I have correlated the outline with the qualifying classes as well as the national and Texas LEARN classes. The outline tells you what you need to know for the licensing exam as well as how many questions are on each topic. Please let me know if you need a copy. If you haven't already been attending the national and Texas LEARN classes (information for them is in your LMS under online learning), I highly recommend that you do - there is an instructor on zoom who is teaching the information which is considered supplemental and designed to help you understand the information.
Please know that I am always happy to help you.

is there something like this for the FL course?

@Janiece11324653 Yes, every state has a Candidate Handbook located in their course syllabus. This is an outline of what will be covered on your State/National Exam. Please use this to reference what will be on your exam(s).
I would then recommend going to your QBanks and testing yourself in the outlined areas. You can make custom quizzes to practice your weaker areas.
Let us know if you need anything else.

@Janiece11324653 - Here is the Florida Candidate Information Booklet for Real Estate Sales Associates created by the DBPR showing the content breakdown of questions for the state exam.
Let me know if you have any questions.

🚨@Amy11136265 I always say, the exam is a reading comprehension and vocabulary test. Knowing the words is important and it sounds like you are doing all of the right things. Don't second guess yourself, don't make stuff up (put words in the question that aren't there), and always answer what the question is asking you.

Hi Amy, I am always here to help so please reach out to me and let me know any questions you have. I am really glad you have been attending the National and Texas LEARN classes - they are super helpful.
Test anxiety is a very real thing. Be certain to schedule the exam at the time of day when you feel the most alert, and the night before you take the exam don't study - just do something fun because you will already be prepared for the exam. The day that you take the exam do not study - just go about your normal day. Another thing is to give yourself positive words of affirmation - that goes a long way toward passing the exam.
Also, be certain you are using the document I gave you to match up which LEARN classes go with which of the qualifying classes as the supplemental information is quite helpful. Each qualifying class has a lot of information, and it takes an organized study plan to learn the information. I highly recommend that you time block your schedule just like a teacher doing lesson plans and include what you will be studying when - this really helps and keeps the material from being so overwhelming. Again, as I always tell all of you amazing students - Texas and all throughout the United States - let me know how I can help, and I am happy to do so. Have a great evening!
