Show & Tell Your Pre-Med Hobbies 🎸: The Unexpected Skills You'll Use in Med School
There is a reason med school interviewers ask about your life outside the library. It’s because the patience you learn while training a dog, the teamwork you build in a rec sports league, or the empathy you develop through creative writing can’t be taught in a lecture hall. These "side quests" are actually building the emotional intelligence you’ll need when you finally put on the white coat.
What is a hobby or non-healthcare-related skill you have that you believe will make you a better future doctor? (e.g., improv comedy for bedside manner, or knitting for fine motor skills).

The passion that plays the biggest role in my life right now is reading and writing outside of class, but still especially in academic fields. Is this considered a hobby by these standards? Of course, I also love soccer and I dabble in other sports, but can I leverage the reading/writing to this effect?
