2nd Try? Don't Give Up!

Hi! My name is Peyton and I am a senior at the University of Arizona. I am also a Student Brand Ambassador for Kaplan! I started studying initially for my 1st MCAT in about August of my Junior year to be prepared to test in March of my Junior year. Unfortunately, I did not receive the score I was wanting (and was actually far from my goal). I began to become discouraged until I realized how much this can actually help me! Here are a few things I now have more perspective on going into my next exam date in April!

  1. The testing environment- can be so intimidating and flustering! My second time around, I will know what to expect and it won't throw me off!
  2. Breaks- I had no idea you didn't get to see how far along you were in your break, making sure I took the entire thing will be good for me the second time!
  3. Studying right before- I took an entire full length practice exam the DAY before I tested… against everyone's advice. I will not be doing this next time around because I feel like taking a break the day before is so good for your brain!
  4. HAVE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE :) It will work out, don't let the stress get to you!
