Hi, all, hope you've been having a great week! Ready to continue your application prep?

The first step was to think about WHO YOU ARE, what's important to you at a core level, and how this will direct your work as a physician.

The second step is to analyze WHAT YOU DO.

  1. How do you spend your time?
    1. Which activities make you happiest?
    2. Which have been most meaningful or inspiring?
  2. Have you been actively involved in…
    1. Healthcare settings?
    2. Community service?
    3. Leadership positions?
    4. Research? Scientific publications or presentations?
    5. Other jobs?
  3. What are your extracurricular interests?
    1. Arts/music
    2. Sports
    3. Religious/cultural activities
    4. Unique hobbies

Think about how your experiences have shaped you, the skills you've gained, and how they will make you a better doctor.

Med schools are interested in learning about you holistically. This exercise will help highlight the information you'll need to write your best application.
