Hi, all, hope you've been having a great week! Ready to continue your application prep?
The first step was to think about WHO YOU ARE, what's important to you at a core level, and how this will direct your work as a physician.
The second step is to analyze WHAT YOU DO.
- How do you spend your time?
- Which activities make you happiest?
- Which have been most meaningful or inspiring?
- Have you been actively involved in…
- Healthcare settings?
- Community service?
- Leadership positions?
- Research? Scientific publications or presentations?
- Other jobs?
- What are your extracurricular interests?
- Arts/music
- Sports
- Religious/cultural activities
- Unique hobbies
Think about how your experiences have shaped you, the skills you've gained, and how they will make you a better doctor.
Med schools are interested in learning about you holistically. This exercise will help highlight the information you'll need to write your best application.
