Tip #3: Be flexible with how you study.

When taking notes on lectures was no longer working for me, I decided that I needed another form of studying. I'd sworn to myself at the beginning of medical school that I would never use Anki because I couldn't stand the thought of pressing the spacebar 500 times a day, but desperate times called for desperate measures and Anki helped push me over the edge to pass Step 1. If you start off using one method of studying (whether it's a particular resource or a study style), try out something else and see if that works out better for you.
