So, you're thinking about law school, and you've heard whispers of this mysterious test called the LSAT? Don't worry, we've got you covered. Here's the lowdown to get you started:

What is the LSAT?

The LSAT (Law School Admission Test) is a standardized test used by law schools in the US and Canada to assess your readiness for the rigors of legal studies. It's designed to measure critical reading, analytical reasoning, and logical reasoning skills.

Why is it important?

Your LSAT score plays a big role in law school admissions. It's one of the key factors, along with your GPA and personal statement, that determines where you can get in.

What's on the LSAT?

The LSAT has three 35-minute scored sections:

  • Reading Comprehension: Tests your ability to understand complex passages and answer questions about them.
  • 2 Logical Reasoning Sections: Presents arguments and asks you to analyze their structure, identify assumptions, and draw conclusions.

There's also an unscored experimental section (you won't know which one it is!) and an unscored writing sample submission.
