Crafting a Persuasive Argument—with a Holiday Twist
For fifteen minutes, we prepare,
Reflect on tasks with thoughtful care.
Don’t read the questions, that’s not the way—
Memorize, and seize the day!
Then brainstorm deeply, let ideas flow,
What perspectives to bring, what views to show.
A “middle” stance, balanced and wise,
A counterargument we can surmise.
Decide the claim we’ll stand upon,
The examples to carry us along,
And from there, we build and weave
A tale of thought we can believe.
With clear structure, each thought in line,
Each point in order, perfectly aligned,
In intro and conclusion’s grasp,
We echo truths, firmly clasped.
Supporting points, well-ranked and true,
The strongest rise, the rest will do.
Focus on quality, not just number—
Ensure your words spark like thunder.
From paragraph to paragraph,
Let key words flow like winter's laugh,
Connecting thoughts from start to end,
In perfect rhythm, the ideas blend.
And as the time begins to close,
Proofread with care, and let it glow.
Check your logic, neat and clear,
A task complete, with holiday cheer.
Now, as the winter winds do blow,
You’ve planned, you’ve written, let it show!
