👀Let's Talk Score Preview! 🔄
Score Preview is a newer offering by the LSAC that allows test takers to preview their LSAT scores before it is reported to law schools. Score Preview is available for purchase before your test and a specified time after. In some cases, approved test takers can sign up for free.

I purchased score preview for my first LSAT. However, I realized that the only reason I would need to purchase score preview is because I was not prepared and was hedging my bets. I would recommend not purchasing score preview, especially if it means that you are the most prepared you can be for the test and know, based on your practice test scores, whether or not you have a chance of hitting your goal score (or somewhere nearby).
It is also important to know that if you do cancel your score using score preview, schools will see that you cancelled your score. This should not be important for admission because schools will evaluate you based on your top score. However, it is a factor that needs to be considered.

I've been to many law school forums and spoke with several law school admissions counselors. I never knew about the score preview until I spoke with a private LSAT coach. I think this is a great opportunity for all students who are taking the LSAT. I have always been told by admissions counselors that you want to take the LSAT as minimal times as you can because they do look at how many times did you take the LSAT and whether you've improve or not. I think the score preview is beneficial to the student and not admissions counselors cause they can't see how many times you've taken the LSAT and or if you've improved or not.
My advice with the score preview is to purchase it because it's better to have the option when your score is released than to not have it, however, I think you need to have your heart set on one score. Furthermore, if you don't have a goal score in mind then you will be uncertain whether you want to " delete" your score or not. Hope that helps!
