How long is the LSAT Prep Course?
Rising Star
💫Hey guys! I am getting ready to take the LSAT in June 2026 and I really want to take a Kaplan prep course. I was just wondering if anyone knows how long the prep course is/how long it takes to complete? I'm assuming it takes as long to complete as I want/as long as I take, but I just want to know what I will be getting into. I have an pre law internship in the summer and I want to make sure I'm not in over my head with taking the prep course, working, and taking the LSAT in the summer. If anyone knows how long the prep course takes please let me know!

Hi, Lauren!
Our LSAT course is twelve 2-hour online sessions, or six 4-hour in person sessions, with lots of outside-class practice recommendations after each session. You can pick a schedule that fits for you, so that may mean anywhere from one 2-hour session a week for 12 weeks, or two 4-hour sessions a week for three weeks. There are lots of schedules to choose from to make it work with your pre-law program and your job.
We also recommend that you find a class that will end at least two weeks before your preferred LSAT. If you are looking for one of the summer LSAT tests, then ideally you will find a class ending by mid-May for the June LSAT, or by mid-July for the August LSAT.
Rest assured, your practice resources stay active after your course ends! But we know from experience that most students benefit from practice time between completing the course and sitting for the LSAT. This is when you will "pull it all together" and perfect your test-day strategy so you can be in complete control on the official day.
I hope that helps - and that we'll see you in class soon!
