During your senior here's what you and your child want to focus on:

-COLLEGE APPLICATIONS! Have a timeline because some colleges have early application deadlines (early action/early decision)

-On October 1st, complete FAFSA:

-Complete financial aid verification paperwork so that you and the student can compare financial award letters in the spring

-Enroll in college by May 1st so that you don't forfeit money offers received

-As you end the year, make sure to gather all transferable credits from AP, Dual Enrollment, and Dual Credit classes so that you and your student know where they will be starting at when they start their first semester

-Students who have applied to selective colleges must complete their css profile through college board

-Prep early in senior year for exams like ALEKS Math, Read to Write

-Keep the focus on GPA - Colleges can still rescind acceptance if the student falls below the requirements for the college and or drops significantly.
