A common question parents and guardians have is how they can help their child set a plan that will lead them to the college path. Each year presents new and unique opportunities to set your child up for success. Today, let's talk about FRESHMAN YEAR:

During their freshman year, they want to focus on maintaining a strong GPA. They should put all of their eggs in this basket because, not only does it give them a good starting point to build upon, but it will set them up to be part of AP classes.

Another thing to prepare for is the Pre ACT or the SAT 9. This will help the student become familiar with the test itself for when they take the ACT and/or SAT.

Lastly, SIGN UP FOR CLUBS AND SPORTS! It's a great strategy to start early with this because colleges look for diversity and longevity in clubs/sports.
