Let's talk about AP, IB, & Dual Enrollment!

AP (Advanced Placement) - The AP program is built out by College Board (administrators of the SAT). They define their program as one that enables students to take college level courses while in highschool. Most schools offer this program and in some cases, taking the AP exam at the end of the year (administered in May), students who score high enough can earn college credit and/or placement.

IB (International Baccalaureate) - As defined on their website - "The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a global leader in international education—developing inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring young people. Our programmes empower school-aged students to take ownership in their own learning and help them develop future-ready skills to make a difference and thrive in a world that changes fast."

Dual Enrollment - According to The Education Trust "Dual enrollment encompasses college and high school programs, which are partnerships between school districts and institutions of higher education that allow high school students to enroll in college courses and earn transferable college credit."
