👑As Advanced Placement® Testing Week kicks off today, we know you've been there every step of the way, providing unwavering support and encouragement to your students.
Here are a few reminders and ways you can continue to help your students:
- Be Aware of the Schedule: Familiarize yourself with the AP® Exam schedule so you know which days and times your student will be testing.
- Encourage Consistent Self-Care: Gently remind them to prioritize sleep, healthy meals, and hydration throughout the week to keep energy levels up and keep them focused.
- Foster a Calm Home Environment: Try to maintain a peaceful and supportive atmosphere at home. Minimizing stress and distractions can make a big difference.
- Help with Organization: Ensure they know where their exam tickets (if applicable) and necessary materials are ready. A little organization can reduce morning-of anxiety.
- Reinforce Positive Mindset: Remind them of the hard work they've put in and encourage them to focus on doing their best. Emphasize that their effort is what truly matters.
- Be Understanding and Patient: There might be moments of stress or anxiety. Offer a listening ear and reassurance. Let them know you're there for them, no matter what.
- Respect The Need for Space & Quiet: While offering support is important, also respect their need for quiet time and space to concentrate during the exam week.
- Have Healthy Snacks Available: Keep nutritious snacks and drinks readily accessible for them during study breaks and on exam days.
We understand the dedication and effort your students have invested in their AP® coursework. Let's collectively send them our positive thoughts and encouragement as they embark on this final stage. We are incredibly proud of their commitment and resilience.
