What is the Performance Test?
Hey All,
Students have been asking about the Performance Test, or Multi-State Performance Test if you're in a UBE jurisdiction. If you're taking a state that has the MPT you'll encounter 2x 90 minute essay questions.
Aside from being longer than the 6x MEE essays you'll encounter in most UBE jurisidictions, these 90 minute essays are closed universe essays. Aka, you'll have everything you need to write the essay provided in the prompt. Unlike the MEE essays which are more about black letter law memorization, these test your reasoning, ability to think like a lawyer, and capability to adapt to, and attack the specific prompt among other things.
Your Kaplan course gives you unlimited MPT practice. Make sure to utilize that as these 2x essays have a big impact (typically 20%) on your score. Thanks all!
