Re: From Campus to Cast Member: How Our Daughter Found Confidence Through the Disney College Program
The biggest thing for me was learning to budget. I also took classes during my time there, which I definitely wouldn't recommend. With the amount that I was working it was difficult to keep up with my coursework even though I wasn't even a full time student at the time!

🧭Curating Your Resume and Cover Letters: The Recruiter’s Compass Series
José Bidó, Manager, Corporate Talent Acquisition, is back this week with how to utilize your resume and cover letters in this competitive market.
📢Let's hear it from José:
Tailoring your resume and cover letter for each application is absolutely crucial... I can't stress this enough!
Recruiters can spot a generic application instantly, so you need to show them you've done your homework and genuinely want that specific job.
This means customizing your summary, objective, bullet points, and the entire cover letter to directly address the unique requirements and responsibilities outlined in that particular job posting.
In doing so, always aim to mirror the language of the job description, which helps both Application Tracking System (ATS) and human reviewers see your direct fit.
When it comes to formatting, keep it clean and simple. Fancy fonts, intricate designs, graphics, and tables can often confuse (ATS), so opt for a clear, chronological, and easy-to-read format.
Finally, it's important to be aware that companies worldwide are facing a growing problem with fake candidates and scammers who use various tactics to deceive employers, including submitting perfect-looking resumes and multiple applications to the same posting. Because companies are increasingly using special technologies and tools to detect these fraudulent applications, it's more important than ever to complete job applications thoroughly and submit all relevant, authentic information to back up your experience, such as your resume and genuine letters of recommendation.
Make sure you are doing your due diligence in this competitive market.
Love to learn about this from Jose so keep an eye out for our next set of tips and tricks from Jose next week!
