FAQ: How to Purchase Extensions?
Do you need an extension for your Essential or Essential Plus CFP courses? Extensions are available for these courses and for students enrolled in our Designation courses!
You can choose from:
- A one-time 60-day extension for $100
- A 30-day extension for $50, with the option to purchase a second 30-day extension for an additional $50.
Extensions can be purchased at any time during your course enrollment and within a 14-day grace period following the course end date.
- If purchased during active enrollment, the extension will begin the day after the original course end date. For example, if your course ends on 07/31/2024 and you buy a 30-day extension on 07/25/2024, the new end date will be 08/30/2024 at 11:59 pm Central Time.
- If purchased during the 14-day grace period, the extension starts from the date of purchase. For instance, if your course ends on 07/31/2024 and the grace period ends on 08/14/2024, purchasing a 30-day extension on 08/07/2024 extends your course to 09/06/2024 at 11:59 pm Central Time.

Students enrolled in Self-paced Essentials or Essentials Plus courses can extend their courses for up to 60 days for an additional fee.
Contact your enrollment representative at 1-800-237-9990, option 3 or enroll@cffp.edu to discuss your options. Students enrolled in Premium education courses (structured-pace) are not eligible for extensions.
