PFPL510 - Getting started in the Master's in Personal Financial Planning Program

Most students who haven't already earned the CFP® marks typically start the Master's program with PFPL510 which starts off covering financial planning principles and wraps up covering insurance topics. Each week consists of a reading assignment upon which a 10-question quiz is based. Students also contribute to two discussion forums - one where the question is posted and another where you write the question and fellow students respond to it. Finally, there is a writing assignment each week on a related topic where you not only learn more about financial planning or insurance, but also how to write in the APA format required of graduate students. It's a great way to start your program!
But wait, there's more! 😁 As a graduate student, you also get access to the Financial Planners Public Discussion Forum where you gain gain even greater insight from faculty and your peers. As a graduate of this program, I can say with great confidence that not a week will go by that you don't learn something you can put into practice immediately. We'd love to have you in class!
