FAQ: When am I supposed to start the application process for the bar exam?

🚨This is a common question, and in short, the answer is that it depends on where you plan on sitting for the bar exam!
Each jurisdiction has its own set of rules and timelines for applying for the bar exam. When you've decided where you want to take the bar exam, be sure to check that jurisdiction's board of law examiners' website for more detailed information.
Regardless of jurisdiction though, you should start looking into this at the beginning of your 3L year in order to give yourself enough time to meet deadlines.
